As soon as I purchase the chiller I hand washed it as per instructions and placed it into the freezer. I left it free for 3 hours before use. I didn't realize you needed to pour out some wine before you used so I did waste a little bit but after I inserted the frozen chill rod and secured it to the top it was easy going. Pouring the wine was super simple, none over poured or spilled. I left the wine out intentionally to test if it would stay chilled and it did for at least an hour or 2. Compared to others it is the least expensive but I would say it is really great quality. No complaints about the product at all. Will continue to use and recommend to my friends.

Nifty little cooler for chilled wine. This was a random purchase. I found this while I was looking at wine openers. It’s a groovy little item. The stainless steel part is quite sturdy and on the heavy side and it gets very cold after just a brief time in the freezer. The plastic part seems to be of a little bit lower quality but still OK. It screws onto the metal part with no trouble and does a decent job at aerating when you’re pouring the wine. The bottom part does seem to keep the wine in the bottle quite cold. Just remember to pour a glass before you put this into the bottle because it is large enough to displace a good bit of wine and you’ll wind up with spillage and potentially a little mess.

My friend, who is a national recording artist in Nashville loves wine so this was a perfect gift for her. She loves it and uses it regularily without any problems

It looks very fun and cool and I gave it to a friend for his birthday and he probably has every gadget you could imagine but he didn't have this one and he's really looking forward to using it on a warm day with a warm bottle of Chardonnay to make it cool and chilled.

I'm going to save you all a lot of future hassles now with this PSA. White wine needs to be served cold. I mean, who knew??? (other than my wife who can knock back some bottles of Chardonnay if you know what I mean). And another life lesson - do not serve warm white wine. I served my guests what I thought was a gourmet delight - microwaved white wine, which I thought would be delicious on the palate. It was not. I got an earful later that night, but that's another story. I found this wine chiller - it's so cool. Literally. You put it in the freezer and then when you open a bottle of wine, you stick it in the bottle and the wine stays cold. It's that simple!
